Dreamcatcher afghan square

I made this square recently for a Ravelry friend’s comfort ghan, several of us got together and contributed a square of our choosing, and any colour we liked. The Dreamcatcher is my favourite pattern:

Its gorgeous, and would look great in a variegated (multicoloured) yarn. If you’re interested in making one, you can find the pattern here.

Edit: this link is temporarily not working.  Click on this URL in the meantime :-)

THIS ONLY WORKS IF YOU COPY AND PASTE THE LINK INTO A NEW BROWSER – sorry but I don’t know why.

I just found this pattern while trying to make a dreamcatcher for my son. I have some confusion over the instructions. In round 2, there are ch 1 spaces, but in round 3, it says to dc in ch 3 sp (not ch 1 sp that is there). Then, in round 4, it says sc in next ch 1 sp, when round 3 made ch 3 loops.

It is pretty so far but does not have the dreamcatcher look, with the slanted stitches, if I am making sense. Could you please advise?

I would like to get this right, so my son can collect some feathers and things for his own dreamcatcher. Thanks! It does look like it would create a great afghan. I am using a size D hook with crochet cotton.

Okay, I got it to look okay. It isn’t exactly how I wanted, but my son is happy and he is the one with the dreams!

Hi Katherine, thank you for your lovely comments ! I have checked, and there were errors in the pattern. The correction (posted at http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=215844.msg2335357#msg2335357) is as follows:

    Rnd 3:
*ch 3, sc in next ch 3 sp* should be
*ch 3, sc in next ch 1 sp*

    Rnd 4:
*ch 3, sc in next ch 1 sp* should be
*ch 3, sc in next ch 3 sp*

    Hope this helps !

    Stramenda :-)

Thanks! It came out okay, but I am easily flustered when the instructions don’t match what I am staring at!

I really like your site, the organizing ideas and all are inspiring. My family has just finished rebuilding our home – bigger and solar – and now we are unpacking two years of stored-away boxes and trying to fit them in where we need, get rid of what we don’t need, and not get into a major messy clutterworld again! When I can sneak away into my private craft room, I like to dream up projects with recycled sari silk yarn, and quilt.

Where can I find this pattern? The link under the picture does not link anymore. I would love to find it because it is gorgeous. If you could let me know, that would be great!

    Thanks,
    Karen
